Annual PCC Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting and Annual Parochial Church Meeting were held in St Andrew’s on Sunday, 12 March 2023. Fenella Williams and Ann Orr were re-elected as Churchwardens.

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting received the annual report of Church activities and finances which can be read on this Website.

The PCC is committed to enabling as many people as possible to worship at St Andrews and with the Incumbent offers a range of services designed to appeal to both established and traditional churchgoers and those at the fringes of religion. We have worked hard to build communications with as many villagers as possible to let them know what is going on and that they are welcome at any and every church event.

Working in conjunction with local parents, activities for children at Sunday school are offered once a month and are increasingly popular with 16 children attending in December at the Carol Service. There has been an increasing number of lay led services which have been well received. The Lent course proved so popular that it continued to meet after Easter.

The Annual Pets Service, a Platinum Jubilee Evensong, the Carol Service and Carols and Nativity at the Pavilion proved popular. A Harvest lunch was held and a popular Fundraising Dinner for 60 people with entertainment organised. Church members continue to organise the very popular Safari Supper which attracts 50 to 60 people every year. Simon Mattison undertook a Fundraising Pilgrimage around the Benefice which may prove inspirational to others.
